Graffiti in our cityscape an everyday sight and for most people an annoyance.
But meantime there has been developed an own, remarkable art form.
The two authors, Hendrik Beikirch from Landau and Patrick Jungfleisch from Saarbrcken, work with the spraycan for more than ten years now and could develop their own manifold language of pictures.
Ideas and approaches, the visual realization of a joint creative effort (which lasted 10 years) and its evolution are the topics of this book, which might be unique in its way by now.
However, with this book the authors don’t want to present the ultimate history of the development of Writing, as this has already been done in several other publications. Its more about providing an insight into the works of ECB and RESO from 1989 to 2003 and showing how paintings from the spraycan can connect to classical writing.
The first part of the book is dedicated to individual pieces which are the foundation for the development of their joint projects. In the second part selected joint projects are presented. Here they consciously focused on newer productions and series.
Hendrik Beikirch and Patrick Jungfleisch, are not trying to describe or explain their works. The perception of the books content depends on the personal contemplation of the different subjects of each painting. But the observing viewer will be shown new details and seeming hidden interrelations of the single works.
